The Derby
bushveld stretches along the southern slopes of the
Magalies Mountain range from Broederstroom in a
westerly direction past Koster towards Swartruggens.
Our region forms the southern foothills of the
Magaliesberg Mountain range and is therefore diverse
in typography comprising beautiful hills, valleys,
seasonal streams and natural springs.
This area teems with wildlife, with most mammals
thriving here. Natural predators including leopard,
brown hyena, caracal, serval etc. are spotted
regularly.
